Notes From the Gorchverse

I’ve been writing about comics for CBR.com for just over six months now, and while it has taught me a lot about writing and put me in a position to read tons of comics I wouldn’t normally pick up - There are a lot of books and comics that don’t get covered on many mainstream pop-culture sites that I want to talk about. And, I also want to be able to approach some of what I’ve been reading from a more personal perspective.

I worked at a bookstore for over six years, and I’m currently working weekends at a comic shop, so I’ve had/still have the privilege of being exposed to all sorts of wonderful, inspiring work that rarely gets the attention it deserves in critical conversations. Notes From a Gorchverse will be an attempt to draw a little more attention to work that excites me and at the very least, it will be a place for me to organize my thoughts.

I’ll still be doing stuff at CBR too, so if you like what I’m doing here, check out my work over there as well.
